  1. Inspect the rotor, tube holders, lid, and power cord.
  2. Use compatible tubes and caps.
  3. Balance tubes with equal volume opposite each other.
  4. Close and lock the lid before starting.
  5. Do not open the lid until the rotor stops completely.
  6. Clean spills according to exposure-control policy.
