About MedSkillBuilder

MedSkillBuilder was created to make healthcare learning easier, more interactive, and more accessible for students, future healthcare workers, nursing learners, anatomy students, and biomedical equipment learners.

Why MedSkillBuilder Exists

Healthcare education can feel overwhelming. Students are often expected to memorize large amounts of information before they truly understand how the pieces connect. MedSkillBuilder was built to help learners practice, recognize patterns, and build confidence step by step.

The goal is simple: give learners a free place to practice important healthcare concepts without needing an expensive course just to get started.

MedSkillBuilder focuses on recognition, repetition, instant feedback, and simple explanations so learners can build real understanding over time.

Who MedSkillBuilder Helps

Built From Real Healthcare Experience

MedSkillBuilder was created by Kevin Pugh, a Clinical Engineer III with more than 23 years of healthcare experience supporting medical equipment, clinical teams, and hospital environments.

His healthcare background includes clinical engineering, biomedical equipment support, troubleshooting, patient monitoring, imaging support, anesthesia equipment support, ultrasound support, equipment safety, and real-world hospital problem solving.

That experience shaped the purpose of the site. Healthcare learning should not only be about memorizing definitions. Learners should understand what the equipment does, why anatomy matters, how body systems connect, and why safe patient care depends on strong fundamentals.

MedSkillBuilder is built from hands-on healthcare experience with a focus on helping learners understand concepts in a practical, beginner-friendly way.

About the Creator

Kevin Pugh has spent more than two decades working in healthcare technology and clinical engineering. His work has included supporting medical equipment, assisting clinical departments, troubleshooting patient care technology, and helping teams understand how equipment and clinical workflows connect.

MedSkillBuilder was created after years of seeing how difficult healthcare concepts can feel for new learners. The site was built to give students and future healthcare professionals a free place to practice, review, and build confidence with interactive learning tools.

The mission is simple: make healthcare learning easier, more accessible, and more useful for people who are trying to grow.

Why Trust MedSkillBuilder?

MedSkillBuilder is designed to support learning through practice, repetition, plain-language explanations, and real-world healthcare context. The site focuses on early healthcare learners who need a clearer way to understand foundational topics.

How MedSkillBuilder Works

MedSkillBuilder uses interactive practice to help learners move from memorizing isolated facts to recognizing patterns and understanding concepts. Learners can review healthcare topics, answer practice questions, use labeling activities, and move between related study pages.

The site includes practice tools for anatomy, medical terminology, nursing fundamentals, TEAS preparation, lab values, ABGs, EKG basics, biomedical equipment, CBET preparation, and healthcare technology concepts.

Important Note

MedSkillBuilder is an educational practice resource. It is not a replacement for school instruction, clinical training, licensed medical guidance, official certification materials, employer policies, or professional judgment.
